Stoleitfrommymom is a slow-fashion brand built from three generations of elegance, craftsmanship, and very chic closet-raiding.
We design pieces inspired by our maternal and Spanish heritage — not actual clothes taken from anyone’s mom’s closet (we wish).
Our Signature product is the Manton, a fringe shawl or scarf, traditionally worn in Spain for special occasions. However, we reinvented it for everyday wear.
What does “Join the Heist” mean?
Joining the Heist is your official entry into our world--where we steal inspiration form our mothers' closets and reimagine it for today.
On a more literal level, it means becoming part of our inner circle. You'll get access to limited drops, early previews of collections, and exclusive pieces before anyone else.
Every major collection in our brand is a Heist — a story, a moment inspired by our family legacy.
What is the mantón collection?
Our signature collection (Heist I, II, etc.) is inspired by our moms’ mantones, except ours are reimagined for everyday wear.
The Mantón is a traditional Spanish shawl with floral embroidery and silk fringe. It is worn mainly on special occasions and has been a fashion staple in Spain for centuries.
Rosa designs each one from dead stock fabrics and fringe sourced in Sevilla.

Are you sustainable?
Yes — obsessively.
We produce in small batches, use deadstock fabrics, reduce waste with pre-orders, and design pieces meant to last.
Slow fashion, but make it criminally chic.
Where do you source you deadstock fabric?
Our deadstock fabric is sourced in Spain from a variety of suppliers.
What are the Basics?
Our Basics are pieces inspired by our moms' capsule wardrobe. Think the good stuff, like what our parents used to buy. Your classic T-shirt, tank top, and more to come embroidered with our brand phrases.
The basics are made from natural cotton and heavy-weight thread so that they last through many washes. Because, as we know, good things are meant to be passed down.
When will my pre-order ship?
We are a small, independent brand — aka two cousins running a very stylish operation.
Pre-orders typically ship in 2-4 weeks once production wraps.
You’ll receive:
- An order confirmation
- Regular production updates
- A shipping confirmation with tracking

Where do you ship?
We offer shipping world wide. Shipping rates apply based on final destination or free on orders over $150.
What sizes do you offer?
Our basics range from S–L.
Our Mantones are offered in there sizes:
- Mantoncito - small scarf size
- Mantoncillo - medium shawl size
- Manton - large shawl size
Size charts are available on each product page so you can pick your perfect fit.
How should I care for my Basics and Mantones?
Treat it like something you stole from your mom.
Our Basics:
- Wash inside out
- Cold cycle
- Air dry when possible
- Avoid harsh detergents
Mantones:
- Hand wash or dry clean
- Air dry
- Steam to remove wrinkles
- Do NOT machine wash (fringe and fabric will be ruined)
Longevity is the ultimate luxury.
Can I modify or cancel my order?
Yes — within 24 hours of placing it.
After that, production begins and we can’t make changes.
What is your return policy?
Because our products are made to order, all pre-orders are final sale unless your item arrives damaged or incorrect.
If there’s an issue, use our Contact Us Form, we’ll fix it ASAP.
Can I tag you in my outfits?
YES. Please do.
